Please supply more information including links to the tutorial.

Why are you using a JDK1.4 tutorial? I would regard JDK1.4 as obsolete.

Hi
Hopefully I am  forwarding your request with my festival BestWishes
No matter if a platform is old or new
According to me old is gold

http://www.manning.com/travis/PicoDraw.java a sample src in chapter4
Please go to Chapter 4 and see if you can compile succesdfully and get the Console board for output(ready for drawing)
thouh even if you are able to draw you may not be able to save it propery for future use of the picture you hava drawn
Can you fetch a suitable soltion
My Bst Wishes is being showered

When you say "Please go to Chapter 4" do you mean "Please acquire a copy of the book and open it to Chapter 4" or do you have some instructions for us on how to find Chapter 4 on line?

Edit: Aha. I see a link on the book's web page where I can download a large zip file which I expect contains the code you are asking about. I think it would be more polite for you to just post the code you are asking about, rather than expecting us to go through a long process to get it ourselves.

And have you launched this from the command line?
What do you see when you try and save?
Does it error (I see the save has a fallback, but the fallback is commented out).

Hi
Tha ConsoleBoard withBackgtounds and Load Save Print exit Methods (Menu )  are available  on execution ofter compiling the above src  Please not JNLP and SandBox not available   in the src plese  note as i have been telling from the beginning that this prg uses jnlp file and sand box whose codes are cut off in the existing src (above) Thats why the saving task does not take place.Pkease go through the code from top to botom and suggest  best method to include the jnlp file .Also Sand Box.
When I tried  to incluse  these two  the codes  will not even compile .
This is the actual problem
tHE PICTURE OF OUTPUT IS SHOWN BELOW.

Picture drawn and savef produced an error meesage as shoen int eml
Please fix the bud if possible THnjs

But any picture canbe drawn and saved in any directory can be views oly via PicoDraw java prg
only by using the menu properly
Good Day to all!!
