You mean, if you only get ⅝ of a question right, you will fail?

I saw somewhere on Oracle that they have a policy of giving 90 days' notice of retirement. I am tempted to tell them to, “make your minds up,” about this exam.

0.63 is an error in all likelihood. I think they mean 63%.
But as it is right now, I would interpret it as if you answer even one question correctly, you pass

Response from Oracle:
Please note, 816 exam is now retired. You can still earn the Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 11 Developer credential by passing exam 1Z0-819. If you passed the 815 exam and you are prepared for the 816 exam, you should be close to being ready. Review the exam topics for 1Z0-819 to identify and prepare for any knowledge gaps.

If you are already registered for 1Z0-816, you can cancel your exam appointment and use the same voucher to schedule 1Z0-819.

Thank you for getting that information from Oracle Does that mean that 815 is a prerequisite for this exam again?

No, I don't think that's what they meant. I think they are just trying to rationalize their decision to scrap 815/816 exams abruptly by claiming that it didn't affect a candidate who has already passed 815 and has been preparing for 816 much.

Yeah if they did they definitely broke this policy.

From what I understand the error on posting the 1Z0-816 exam page again has to do with the Japanese version of the exam.  The english version is permanently gone as of 10/1/2020.
