Hi Rishal Hurbans,

I was an AI student few years ago. After graduated, I no longer touching AI field, focus more on Android development.

During this pandemic, I plan to build  "Pets Lost and Found" app and try to recall back what I have learnt during University time. This app should include these feature:
1. People nearby tracking who reported lost their pets.
2. Pets found nearby the user's area location.

Does these two feature need include AI method ? If yes what  AI algorithm is suitable for above use cases?

Thanks and Regards,
Randy.

Hi Randy. It's arguable if the location matching is AI or not, but I wouldn't recommend that you necessarily write this by hand. Given the problem your app is trying to solve, I recommend using a spacial database that provides ways to query geospatial data. One that I've used with success in the past is PostGIS https://postgis.net/. With that said, if you're interested in the logic and inner workings of algorithms that systems like these might leverage, I think Grokking AI Algorithms will be useful.

Thanks for the suggestions.

By just reading the contents of book, I'm sure it is worth reading.

I guess I've been abducted by space aliens. So unprofessional. They tried to probe me with this tiny ad:
