is:
The service provider must have a uses directive

should be:
The service provider must have a requires directive

The sense is that service provider requires the interfaces exported in service provider interface.
We are not mentioning here as well, the fact that we will need as well provides directive in our service provider.

I agree that it is wrong, but not with the fix. We intended to be talking about the service locator in that sentence. Which was reported here
