GUI fail

So I have been messing with GUIs the past few days and I was starting to get really excited about them. And then of course I minimized the drag and drop palette in NetBeans and could never fully recover. Trying to fix it I ruined NetBeans and now nothing will run on it. Gave that up.....
Trying IntelliJ because I actually have to turn assignments in and I spent the last 4 hours trying to figure WTF I did to NetBeans....
On to IntelliJ, I found some videos on how to install JavaFX and utilize the intilliJ GUI IDE but the entire main class is throwing errors, this happened as soon as I opened the MAIN file. I'm really bummed because these assignments are really easy and I could have already had them done by now.
I tried to upload a picture but no .pdf or .word
Any help appriciated

What happens if you run the code without an IDE?
Please explain exactly what is happening; nobody can help if they don't know the details of the problem.
You know it is dark times when the trees riot. I think this tiny ad is their leader:
create a simple IDEA theme and earn!
