Resultset displays only first row

Sir I am using SQLSERVER 2014 with Java and IDE is Netbeans

I have this command

private void jButton3ActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) {                                         
        try {
            cmd = con.prepareStatement("select code,desc1,phone_m from master order by code");
            rs = cmd.executeQuery();
            if (rs.next()) {
                System.out.println(rs.getString("code"));
            } else {
                JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(this, "No data found");
            }

        } catch (SQLException e) {
            System.out.println(e);
        }
    }           

This shows only First record but the table has more than 500 rows.

What I am doing wrong?

Your code only reads the first row.

If you want to read all of the rows, which is a very common thing to do, then you need code which looks like this:

while (rs.next()) {

  // code which processes a row

}

Yes sir I used while loop but now it shows this exception

if you have to ask how to update the server, then you cannot, you do not have rights to do so.
