We're gonna set up camp with a new web host that supports JSP's and EJB's! Yaaaay! However, this might cause some outages with the Big Moose Saloon. It's possible that the old DNS will be cached in parts of the internet for several days - so you'll get the old site and all the discussion will have moved to the new site. Not much I can do about that. This might start to happen as early as Friday.
Welcome to late July! The move will be occuring in the next few days. Because of the way DNS works, there is a good chance that a lot of people will be going to the old JavaRanch, while the rest will simultaneously be going to the new JavaRanch. This can't be helped. This means that you might post a message to the saloon, only to check in the next day and find your message is gone: replaced by a bunch of messages that weren't there when you posted. I'm looking into ways to minimize this problem. (such as reducing the DNS timeout)
