Hello. I want to report something I found in the book OCP Java SE 11 Programmer II (Sybex). At page 221, when working with primitive streams, the IntSummaryStatics is introduced (paragraph Summarizing Statistics). At the end of the paragraph, it is stated: "If the streams were empty, we'd have a count and sum of zero. The other methods would return an empty optional". What I can see is that the other methods don't return an optional, but a primitive (e.g., getAverage returns a double).
