using java.nio in websphere 5

Dear Sir,
I am using websphere 5.0 for my project. I want to use java.nio
package in websphere but i am not able to configure this package wtih websphere because websphere uses jdk1.3 and java.nio package comes with jdk1.4.Anyone plzz help about how to configure this package in websphere.

It will not work. It cannot be done. You cannot make WebSphere 5.0 work with JDK 1.4, end of story. Unless there is a separate "open source" version of the Java.nio classes available for JDK 1.3 (as there was with the JDK 1.4 logging classes) I'd advise you to seek another solution.
