LinkedList reference

My question is on below code.

The linked list object in the below code should print an address or reference, but it is printing an empty list. Why?

import java.util.*;

import java.util.function.*;

import java.util.stream.*;

public class HelloWorld{

     public static void main(String []args){
          LinkedList ll=new LinkedList();
          
          System.out.println(ll);
     }
}

LinkedList has overridden the toString() method which usually prints a pseudo address to now print the contents of the list. And seeing as you have no contents at this point you get an empty print.
