WebSphere App Server 5 & JSP 1.1 Compiler

Is there any way to switch from the JSP 1.2 compiler to the JSP 1.1 compiler in WebSphere App Server v5.02?

AFAIK, No. I know we used to allow something like this in WAS 3.5 but that was because JSP 0.93 was significantly different from JSP 1.0. However, JSP 1.2 is a superset of JSP 1.1...

Thanks I had read that, but we're getting a problem with a jsp page that is OK with 1.1 and not with 1.2.
The problem seems to be that the JSP page is catching a ArrayIndexOutOfBounds (and then stopping creating rows in a table) - but on was 5 is seems to keep going beyond the end of the array.
Perhaps this is due to differences in the JVM levels rather than the JSP processor?
