How to get information on application running on WAS 5.0.2

hi,
I am using WAS 5.0.2 Network Deploy version. I have two application.
I have a check in one application that other application is running or not.
Can any one provide me with api using which I can trace from within the code of one application if the other
application is running or not?

WAS has an administration API that is exposed as a set of JMX MBeans. Do a search in the InfoCenter on JMX and you should find all of the information you are looking for.
