What is the safest way to store images of sensitive documents?

I'm soon to be needing to store images of sensitive documents. Stuff like licenses, business licenses, tax identification, etc. Just things along those lines.

What is the safest way to store these images? Up to you this point, I've been storing my images on an S3 bucket. But if this safe for sensitive documents?

All help is appreciated.

P.S. I'm not sure that this is the right section to be posting this question but I couldn't find one better.
