Does anyone out there know how to display shockwave files (*.swf) on WSAD 5.1? I am getting a warning saying broken link and undefined attribute name and undefined attribute name pluginspage. When I bring it up in the test environment nothing shows up.
My settings are
WSAD 5.1
WAS 4.0 Test Environment
I have the following within a html file:
<td>
<object classid="clsid 27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=4,0,2,0" width="640" height="365">
<param name=movie value="images/x.swf">
<param name=quality value=high>
<embed src="images/x.swf" quality=high pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="365">
</embed>
</object>
</td>

Michael,
Try setting WSAD to open in a regular browser (IE or Netscape) that already knows about the plugin. You can set the browser in Windows --> Preferences --> Web Browser. Just pick external web browser and point to it.

I was able to view the shockwave files by doing that. Thanks a bunch. Is there a limitation within the browser in WSAD that would limit it from showing these files?

I also went to the Server Perspective -> Server Configuration -> Opened my server configuration for that project-> Clicked on web tab and added shockwave as a mime type
MIME Type:application/x-shockwave-flash ext:swf
This may or may not have helped.

You showed up just in time for the waffles! And this tiny ad:
