Anybody recognise that? A fuller version reads,

Are you sure you want to sign out? If you sign out, your progress will be lost
• Yes
• No
Continue

Yeu may have to be in UK to recognise it.
Does anybody think it is confusing?

Is this related to the Ranch, or just the usual "OK to reformat disk Y/N?" question.

Was it how they asked the Brexit question in the election?

I don't recognize this particular one, but that sort of thing shows up in a variety of apps and programs.  For example, in the open enrollment system at my work, which we use to select our health insurance options.

I think these can be clear enough if you read carefully, but there's a danger as people are in a hurry - they may guess incorrectly what Yes and No will result in.  I would prefer clearer options:
  • Quit and lose progress
  • Remain and keep making progress

  • In this particular case, there's an additional source of confusion: what does "continue" do?  Is it the same as "no"?  My guess would be yes, but it's not clear why "continue" is an option at all - weren't all options covered by Yes and No?

    1: No. 2: Not really

    Hahahahahahahahaha!
It is the logout screen on the NHS/Covid‑19 website where you books jabs, repot lateral flows, etc. “Continue” means go to next page.
Ruth says it is ambiguous, as Mike I think is hinting, and I think it should say something like, “Anything you haven't saved will be lost.”

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
