I passed the 1Z0-829 and 1Z0-811 exams today!

About the 1Z0-829:
Every question was a wall of code. Ninety minutes is not enough time to go through all of them and then review each question. I only had enough time for one pass after answering all the questions. I had five minutes left when I submitted my exam. My score was 70%. To be honest, I only studied for maybe a week. I bought Enthuware's mock exams, and I was scoring in the mid-60s on all the unique tests. I only skimmed the book by Selikoff and Boyarsky. Why did I not study more? I was focused on studying for the VMware Spring Certified Professional EDU-1202 exam, and I passed that exam on May 20 last week. (This exam is going to retire on June 30, 2022. If you are thinking about taking the replacement exam, you will have to take mandatory training, which costs $2,000+, I heard.) Next time, I will devote more time for studying.

About the 1Z0-811:
I decided not to study for this exam. I took this exam as soon as I was done with the 1Z0-829 exam after a quick break. My score was 90%. Two hours is more than enough time. I finished the exam in 45 minutes, and I only did one pass after answering all the questions.

I cannot view the results for my 1Z0-829 exam because CertView only shows the results for the last exam. I will have to wait a while until the official score report gets populated on the main page.

My background:
I have been working with Java extensively for 10+ years. I received my first certification ten years ago today, and it was the OCPJP 6 certification.

Question:
Does Credly issue a badge for the OCPJP 17 certification? I don't see it listed on Credly's website. It might be because the certification is brand new.

Congratulations on passing 1z0-829. You are probably the first one to report their success on the 1z0-829 exam here, excluding the authors of the OCP Java 17 certification book
1z0-811 must have been a cakewalk as compared to 1z0-829.

The 1z0-811 was easy. I spent no more than thirty seconds or a minute per question. I did not study for that exam.

I just got my badge, but it was not issued from Credly. I guess Oracle will issue badges themselves from now on. Did you get a badge?

Actually, if you click on the link to share to LinkedIn or one of the other social sites, the URL will take you to your badge.

Hmm. I don't see that. I see "publish credentials" which emails a link to confirm the cert. But that's not a badge. I don't see the one you describe.

I do see "Claim or share badge" for my Java 11 cert though.

I have attached a couple of screenshots. If you click on the LI button in the first screenshot, it will open a window in the second screenshot. If you click on the badge in that window, it will take you to a page that has your badge on it. You can add the URL for that page to your resume because it's shareable.

I passed 1Z0-819 yesterday, and was also looking for the certificate badge URL and had the same experience as above. By pressing the share to LinkedIn button I was able to get the link.

It seems they've stopped using 'YourAcclaim' / Credly but I've logged a ticket in CertView to confirm this.

CertView/OCP support responded surprisingly quickly, confirming they are no longer using Acclaim/Credly and instead using their own site for sharing credential badges.

Congratulation Bj Peter DeLaCruz
By clearing
1. Spring Certificate
2. OCJP 17 Certification 1Z0-829
3. Oracle Certified Foundations Associate, Java Certification 1Z0-811

Way to go... You are superman... How did you manage all this with work and family. I am sure you have to do lots of time management.

In future, will connect with you. I have this certification in my mind but never able to focus in details. I went through few topics and than all fall out.

You can be my coach

Best of luck
