Java OCP 17 Chapter 9 #7 Review Question - Generic Override

I am thinking of possible errata for chapter 9 Review question #7

The answer in appendix tells that this method:

public class Alpaca {
   public List<String> hairy(List<String> list) { return null; }
}

has a valid override of this:

public List<String> hairy(ArrayList<String> list) { return null; }

I think this is an Overload not a valid Override? I tried to put @Override to the second snippet and results to compile error.

Please Correct me if I'm missing something.
