At the time I choosed to get the OCP 11 materials, the OCP 17 materials & the 829 exam were not available. I thought they will take more time to be available.
So I've finished the Complete Study Guide for OCP 819 as well as the Practice Tests. Took mock exams. I feel confident and ready to schedule an exam for the OCP 819.
Now some doubts start getting into my head... Should I just go for it, or get the 17 materials and read them to go for the OCP 829? If the latter, would it be safe to just study the new objectives (such as records, blocks etc...) or it's better to also maybe scan/read the other repeated objectives as well.
So i guess my point is, Would 819 still be a valid choice?
my 2 cents
- I think Java 11 is still good, and a valid choice. No such big change between Java 11 and Java 17, compared to Java 8 and Java 11 change.
- I have impression Java 11 exam will be a bit easier to pass, compared to Java 17 exam (timing and complexity changed)
Thank you for the answer Ms.Jeanne, and for the great books
OCP 829 exam is 90 mins as well, I think Mr.Mikalai meant the time consumed for each question, since some posts mention that almost each question is like a "wall" of code.
