Hi,

i have enough memory in my computer however notepad++ is not that efficient to handle huge files

#1 - Is it possible to increase the memory for notepad++
#2- What are the other good opensource for opening huge file size in windows

You could try using the 64 bit version of Notepad++, but 16GB is simply a lot. There aren't many programs that can handle files of that size.

An important question is, what do you want to do with the file? Read through it, find content, etc? Then I can recommend glogg, we use it at work quite a bit to open log files.

Rob Spoor, I meant 16GB of RAM size and not file size. glogg is good but i want edit option as well. glogg is good for read. Which is the best utitlity for edit?
