Any WAR utility in WSAD ?

Hi,

We have a situation where a we need to have our development project(WAR) needs to be put into a product (which we brought and only have class files) (EAR).

The development team has to test their development of war by putting into ear, Is there a automated process to do this, like we have update zip for jar ?

You could always import the EAR, add your own WAR to it, and re-export it.

Otherwise, you have to modify the application.xml file. But you can easily just use WinZip or jar to update the .ear file to include your modified application.xml and new WAR.

Heck, you could just use ANT to do it!

Hi,

In WSAD, rightclik on the web project that you want have it as ear module--> click on export-->choose EAR file--->click next-->enter ear file name and location to save the ear file--->click finish .

Made decision to go with ANT...that way could do checkstyle and junit and other stuff too...

I wish there was a plugin in WSAD which had a front end to do this...

I guess I am too ambitious
