Hi,

I like to know whether Webspher 4 and 5 can be installed in a single machine, though only one will be running at any instant.

Regards

Yes they can. If you need both running at once, the ports must be different. Otherwise, there are no conflicts.

I've seen both run on a UNIX box. Don't know about windows though.

On Windows, it is definitely possible to run WSAD 4.0 and 5.0. As these include WebSphere, it would be logical that both can be installed at least.

We have run both Websphere 4 and 5 on the same Windows box, at the same time even. You should be able to run them both through the same IBM HTTP server.
