I am using WSAD5.1.1 for a simple P2P application. I have 3 questions:
1) What is the difference between MQ Simulator and Embedded Messaging Radio button in JMS tab in WSAD5.1.1 Test Server? Do I need to install Embedded messaging software in addition? Or, can I run P2P application by choosing MQSimulator radio button? I can start WSAD Test Server by choosing MQ Simulator radio button. When I start my WSAD Test server with embedded messaging option chosen, the server thows follwoing exception.

2) Does my project need to reference all the jar files below:

* com.ibm.mq.jar
* com.ibm.mqbind.jar
* com.ibm.mqjms.jar
* ecutils.jar
* j2ee.jar
* messaging.jar
* messagingClient.jar
* messagingImpl.jar
* namingclient.jar

3) After I install embedded messaging software, how can I uninstall it so that I can hit MQv5.3 and not use embedded messaging?

Thanks in advance.
Sam

1) you dont need to install Embedded messaging if you are using MQ as your JMS provider (MQ 5.3) Im not sure what tab you are referring to.

2)you do not need all the jars(J2EE is already in your path i would think), but if you are writing some natice MQ apps leave 'em. and also add the com.ibm.mq.pcf jar for MQ administration programs (this is extremely helpful)

3)you do not need to uninstall the embededd messaging. However you will need to go to the admin console and ensure the initial startup parameter for embedded msging is set to STOPPED. look in server components/JMS servers.

cheers!
