Hello,

Are there any hardware requirements to run Portlets with WebSphere?

A better way to state my question is: If I have WebSphere 5.1.2 and DB2 what do I need to run portlets? Is WebSphere Portal Server a seperate product.

Thanks.

WebSphere Portal Server is a separate product. It requires, and comes with, IBM WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation Version 5.1.1 running on WebSphere Application Server 5.1.1.1 with a number of interim fixes. See http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pvc/wp/510/ent/en/InfoCenter/wpf/inst_req.html#sup_was.

See http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/websphere/zones/portal/proddoc.html for documentation.

There is a portal toolkit and test server for WSAD 5.1.x that comes with the product. As far as I know, there is no way to separately download them.
