thanks for u r reply,can u suggest any free documetation so that i can go through that and deploy my servlet and jsp/html.
i've just installed websphere and it started working from first step....
do i need to set any environment variables like path classpath etc...
i want a clear procedure for deploment process for servlets,ejb.... in websphere from scrach.plz help me its urgent.

I did. The redbooks are free documentation - right from IBM.

In the future, try to use "you" instead of "u." "IM speak" is often difficult for people who speak different languages to understand. More details about this rationale here.

Hi,
there is no need deploy explict in websphere.there is one option on that servers prespective goto that add the server and right click on that gernerate deploymeny code and u right click again and click on deploy jar.

thanks for your reply,actually what iam trying to do is as follows,
i have a html and servlet, when i give a name and address in html that should be shown in servlet out put. So i did this using Application Assembly Tool. in that AAT only i got an error while saving saying that additional information is missing like db2 classpath not set.
so what to do.is there any other way to do the above process.
plz tell me the process if possible.
