want to install Axis web apps in WAS?is it possible?

Hi

here tomcat default supports Axis,but i want to install the sample application in WAS?


how?becoz was supports only EAR file?how to do this?

You install the application the same way you install any other application, however you have to configure the server to use Axis as the SOAP and Web Services engine rather than the default IBM Soap engine. This is easily done in the RAD (or WSAD) development environment, or through the Admin console on a running application server.

Can u tell me where to change "Axis engine" intead of "IBm soap engine" in admin console (was5.1)

WSAD does not support Axis with Webshpere5.1 .i tried.

i tried to make ear file and install Axis default web apps in WAS5.1

If i understand correctly you are using webservices. If yes definitely support is there for Axis in WSAD 5x. What u r doing exactly?

If I understand correctly and if you have a working war file which runs even outside WAS, you don't need to change anything in WebSphere, just deploy the war (perhaps using the Admin Console) and access the Web Services. axis.jar and other relavant jars should be there inside your WEB-INF/lib, that's all.

Check the list of available service using following url:

http://<your> server>:9080/<your context>/services

Does it make sense or I am totally out of context
