backward compatibilty between WAS 6 and WAS 5

I am implementing my project in WAS 6 can i use the same project in WAS 5

Does WAS 6 supports backward compatibility

Plz help me in this regard

Actually client has requested to develop the project with version 5 but my company got the licence for 6 will there be any problem when we develop in 6 and deploy the same on v5 onsite.
