Identifying the client PC

Is it possible to find the ip address of the machine from where the request such as stopServer.sh , startServer.sh is raised. In this case Websphere was installed in an solaris machine and the request was issued from windows logged in through telnet.

If you telnet into the machine then there is no client IP to detect - everything happens on the server.

I'm sure that the OS can be set up to log all inbound telnet connections, though. But that has nothing to do with WebSphere.
