Hello everybody,
I'm proud to share with you my happiness and relief to have just obtained my certification with a score of 80%.
My last
Java certification dated back to 2020 and was OCA Java 8.
Getting this was quite tougher and required many hours of preparation started last June.
I had to take the
test three(sic!) times because first two attempts taken at home were disconnected before I had the chance to complete.
Oracle awarded me another try but with the suggestion to take it at another place where connection was more stable.
So this morning I went to my company's office where I had booked a meeting room and attempted from there.
Fortunately this time all went well and I could achieve my certification!
To prepare for the exam I used both Boyarsky-Selikoff and Mughal-Strelnikov textbooks plus mock tests by Enthuware.
I was not that brilliant with mocks, often staying behind required 68%, but I felt that many errors were due to lack of concentration which I was quite sure to show during real tests, and also I have to say they somehow look even harder than the real thing!
So my suggestion is to take the exam as long as you are above 60% consistently with the mocks.
Thanks to this wonderful community which has helped me a lot in order to achieve the result.
Happy testing to all!
