I would like to know whether we can install Websphere Portal server 6.0 in a system having a Windows Vista OS loaded. I woud also like to know if its possible in to install Application server 6.0. If these are not possible. Is there any version of Portal Server which Vista supports. Please help me out.
Thanks in advance.

Microsoft Windows Vista is a supported client platform starting version WP 6.0.1 (See the Information Center for the component limitations.)

I think that implies that clients can connect to the portal. I'm not sure if it means you can install the portal on Vista.

I found the easiest way to install Portal on Vista was to re-install Windows XP and then do the install. It's what alot of people are doing.

I found that very little of my software, from Norton Anti-Virus, to WinZip, wouldn't install on Vista. I returned to XP.
