Hi,

I am currently testing the High Availability scenario of the VMware product. In this scenario I need to deliberately crash one of the host to see if the VM on that host successfully migrates to the secondary host and comes up cleanly.

In my set up I have two VMware ESX hosts and each host has one VM with IBM Websphere 6.1 in a cluster installed. We also have a Proxy Server for generating load. I cold booted the primary ESX host and verified that the VM gets successfully migrated to the secondary host. During the VM migration phase I also verified that the proxy directs all the load on to the secondary node on ESX host2. However after migration the Websphere services on node1 does not come up. I have automated three services to start automatically on boot on after the migration. I found the node agent and jms start quickly. However the App Server just hangs with the comment Server Launched Waiting for Initialization

I started the three services using

startnode
startserver jms_2
start server lc_server2

Can anyone please let me know how could make the App Server to start immediately. Do I need to stop or start any services?

Regards

Balaji
