Im just starting to work on an existing Websphere Commerce application, and im trying to configure the datasource(which is a AS/400 system)

Currently the application is creating a new datasource each time a connection is required.

AS400JDBCConnectionPoolDataSource dataSource = new AS400JDBCConnectionPoolDataSource();
javax.sql.PooledConnection pc = dataSource.getPooledConnection();

Creating a new DataSource each time cant be effiecient (unless someone cann tell me im wrong) so i want to set up a JNDI entry for this. Is this done in WebSphere Commerce Server or in WebSphere Application Server?

Thanks for you help
