Hi All,

Well, obviously you can't use it unless you do something. So I'm going to interpret your question as asking what you have to do. Here's a link to an IBM redbook about that.

By the way I found that by using the Google keywords "websphere dynacache".

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your reply.
I tried that link long time back. If you see my earlier post with topic name "WebSphere Dynacache ClassCast exception" you will get to know the problem.
Still I am facing the problem.
Your help is required.

Regards,
Sree

Actually when I answered this post I did not go and look for all your other posts. Nor should you expect anybody to do that. If you have a question, then ask it. And please note that a specific question is much more practical. The question you asked in this post has almost zero content.

I am facing a very serious problem with the Websphere Dynacache.
We are keeping some values in dynacache using put() method and same we are retriving through get() method.
Using get() method we are getting object in Distributed HashMap. But when we type cast to our object it is giving some classcast exception. I searched google people are telling this kind of problem because of Class Loader and Bytes code different if it recived through other classes.
Even I checked with getClass of that it is givig same Object name but if give equals then it is showing false.
How can I solve this problem.

Even if some machine X is kept some value cache and if other machine Y is tryiing to access that object it is throwing class case exception.

Hi There,

I am facing a similar problem actually, have you found any solution to this ?

I am thinking of serializing my objects, but that defeats the purpose of the speed gained from the cache .

Regards

A.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
