Dear Friends,
I am SCJP and SCWCD and now plan to go for OCP. I believe, oracle is much more stable than java stuff.
Its great to see this forum at this great place. I am sure this can be great place for oracle certification like ajva certifications.
I am new to OCP arena and would like others to throw light on various aspects of it - like resources, various exams, importance and stuff. It will surely help others as well.
Thanks a lot in advance
rajat

I am doing OCP. I think the best way is to buy a book. I have only done the PL/SQL exam so far but it all looks pretty straightforward.
All of the sites seem to charge for practice questions (not like jchq). Like anything, certification is nothing without experience so would imagine if you can't do the first exam with only a little revision you are wasting your time (and money).

Skill 3B of Oracle Jcert Certification - Enterprise Development on the Oracle Internet Platform tests you on the OAS.However, Oracle has not upgraded its test to cover the latest version of OAS - 9iAS.
Hope this helps,

Thanks guys.
I am going for oracle DBA. Also its great to find the whiz guys are coming up with their product for this certification. I have heard lot about them from most famous people like ajith, marcus green.
I am sure the guys at whizlabs must have done excellent job again.
Any info about oracle changing the pattern of exam etc. Is it advisable to wait for the change if there is any in the near future.
Thanks
rajat

Back when I was taking an Oracle class in college, I found OraFaq to be a handy resource, including tutorials, FAQ's (of course), and a large BBS community.

Iam a SCJP,SCWCD now jumping on the Oracle bandwagon.Realistically speaking I had only intended to give my PL/SQL exam of 8i as it was totally change of roles for me to give all the 5 papers of DBA, as Iam working on J2EE and wd like to concentrate on that.Meanwhile wd like to clarify some things..if we don't give all the 5 papers then we only getb qualified for OCP PL/SQL certified. But if we are going for 9i DBA clearing the first two papers gives u the OCP Associate certificate. My 2 cents for this...what do u guys say
