Am having trouble using classes in a jar file while using the 9i JDeveloper. Have been using those classes in the 8i environment quite ok. Specifically, am not able to find a way to import the package from the jar file in the 9i IDE. I have created a new library with the path for the library being that of the jar file.
Thanks all in advance.

I suspect the problem tobe with the path you gave for your library
Then, extract the jar file into the classes directory under your project folder.
Then add the package folder name to the path
That should work

You need to add the jar file to your project in Jdeveloper. Under project settings development/ libraries you'll need to add your jar file as a new library and include it in the project.
Once you've done this Jedeveloper will should look after the rest.
