What are .ORA files? Like tnsnames.ora and how to open them.

They are just text files.
the tnsnames.ora file has all the entries for all the connections you can use with Oracle Client to Oracle instances.
Here is a sample entry

The port 1521 is the default, if your dba has changed it, they will need to tell you
