Hi!
I'm trying to install the Oracle 9i app server release 1 over an Windows 2000 platform. I've chosen the standard installation. Once installed, How do I initialize the Server? The oracle services registered at the windows services manager appear started but when I try to run an oracle app, like the administrative console, it says that there is no connection with the server.
Could anyone of you help me here please?

Check your services in Programs->Administrative Tools->Services , the listener service must be in "started" state.
