Hi buds.
I am just curious to know , how effective is Self Test Software for Oracle 9i certification? Is there any OCA or OCP around, who could put some light on the kind of questions that come in the DB Fundamentals - I exam ?
thanks.

Thanks.
Since you talked about Brainbench, I would like to tell you it's a great place to be at, just like JavaRanch, but a little more productive time pass. I have never paid a penny for any test at Brainbench.com, I just take a test when it is free for the first 500 takes. Check out for Windows XP test at it, which is nowadays free.

One of my previous colleagues and I took the administration exam together. He had Oracle training books and Practice tests offered by Oracle(I believe it is $100). I did not buy any of the Oracle practice tests. We both got the same score in the administration exams. He is an OCP now. I just passed the administration exam and been thinking about taking other exams(just thinking....). He told me that practice tests helped him to pass all the other exams especially performance tuning.
Best Regards

I have used the self-test software (STS) for the Program Units exam and now for the Build Internet Applications II exam (taking next week).
I found them to be very helpful. However, I did take the PL/SQL Intro and Forms I exam without them and did fine on those tests as well. I was more familiar with that material so that's why I did not purchase the STS for those exams.
I know this doesn't answer you question regarding 9i material, but I hope it helps!
Good Luck!
