Then just fake it or lie.

I really don't know what to say that isn't just repeating every point made so far. If you aren't going to listen to any of the advice, I don't know why you bother asking.

Thats what people here are making you understand and trying to help you out. The projects you have done in your academics is not equivalent to the experience you gain when you work on projects for 4+ years. If you think you will not be able to pass the SCEA then how do you think you are going to survive in the industry showing 4 years experience. People will have lot of expectations when you enter the company as an experienced person.
If you look for jobs which are junior level then you'll be able to learn things and gain experience.

Best of Luck

If one has decent J2EE experience, then SCEA should be easy. I have come across a couple of people who have done their SCEA without good J2EE experience, but in many technical meetings/discussions, they really do not bring much to the table.

Please don't reply if u want to criticize me. I have my personal financial problems. I have no choice. Whatever anyone says, I am going on fake expereince. I asked about preparing for j2ee interview, not about whether to put fake experience or not.

Then it is a policy of this site not to help. In the same way if you asked how to fake your resume to be a CEO or learn technology to commit a crime, we won't assist.

Sorry.

Then ask about J2EE questions and useful skills for interviews in a new thread. This thread is now and always will be about falsifying information to get a job. We've had the discussion before and we don't condone the practice.

Either this thread is nearing the dumping phase or Mr.Bachi's account is going to be deleted soon.

This forum is full of selfish and jealous j2ee programmers (except a few) who think they r the best programmers in the world. this is my last post. some people r talking about honest. Very interesting. They show honest because they have experience in programming. Does this honest apply to other fields of ur life? No one is honest in all the aspects of life in this world. Then he would have gone into the history books (like mother teresa or mahatma gandhi).

If it's all so easy then what exactly is difficult about a google search?

It may now be possible to continue the conversation, although everyone now has the same opinion so I no longer see the point.

Why should anyone be jealous of you? Most don't even know you. People have given their opinions. They may not have been exactly what you wanted to hear. It's upto you to ignore them or react. If all you wanted was some J2EE interview questions, then you would have got more information by browsing other threads in the same forum, going through the replies of some who have responded to that query in this thread or as I said before "google". Please remember that this is an international forum where members from more than 50 (possibly 100) countries visit this site regularly. The reason I write the last statement is because you sang a patriotic tune in the midst of these discussions.

Bachi,

Consider the risks involved. You have asserted that there are many so-so people out there who have faked their resumes and have not been fired from their jobs. I admit I don't know in which companies these people work and how they are doing at the job.

I will only narrate a personal experience. We hired a J2EE programmer in Feb 2005 who claimed that he had 5 years Java/J2EE out of a 6 years total experience. My boss is a soft interviewer and we gave him the benefit of doubt as we needed someone very urgently. But the guy was all lost as explained our architecture. Taking into consideration his experience, we would just let him know our requirements and figured that he would be able to figure out how to get the programs done.

While doing the code review, my hair stood on end. It was clear he did not understand OO well. He had written may gigantic and repetitive methods and hardly used inheritance anywhere. The database connection handling were pathetic and his knowledge of core Java was superficial. It was clear to me as during Java/J2EE discussions, he did not have many inputs but would give us plenty of VB/Access examples when we wanted miscellaneous work done. Needless to say, we had to let him go in June. We had given him more than ample time to adjust but he did not deliver (for the experience he claimed).

I know that its tough to fake five years of experience. I even talked to the consultant about this. He said that even the managers who hire know that its fake. The consultant has his own clients. he forwards my resume. As long as the work is done, they don't bother about the fake experience. Then I asked him why to put the fake experience. He says that the client wouldn't call u for any interview unless u put 5 yrs experience and that is how the market is running.

Regarding my programming skills, I am very good at it. I am done number of projects in java (simulators, parsers, combinatorial algorithms with optimizations). I know that its a lot different from j2ee environment.
That's the reason I am learning the j2ee skills. I have 4 months of time. I have already decided whatever happens I am going on fake experience. Come on, guys! I am doing masters and why do u think I have the zeal to show fake expereince? I am just adapting to the market.

I had to delete in appropriate post by bachi mat. I believe this is the second time in about 3 years of moderating Job Discussion that I had to delete a post. I think the value of this thread has deteriorated and I'm going to close it for a few days. If there is desire to continue it, interestd parties can email me no sooner than Sept 14th and I'll open it up again.
