First of all Taliban is not a good thing in the Islamic world. It is a blasphemy to Islam.
Women has high place in Islam. Islam had the concept of alimony and female inheritance( and I don't mean OOPS).
How can you say that stopping women education is islamic?. IT IS ANTI-ISLAMIC. Better read Quran,Arif. And you say status of women has been enhanced by Talibans?? And you say that the afghans live a dignified life under them??? I don't know whether to laugh or cry!!!.
And don't give me the excuse that it is natural to go to the extreme of treating women like animals because they think the westerns women status is degraded.The way you said that it is natural for the Talibans to behave that way, is as if the status of women is a trifle matter. Arif,The status of man and woman is the basis of every religion and society and for Islam respect for women is of utmost importance.Don't just pass it off like that! There can be no excuse for that.
Secondly you said about capital punishment. Every civilised country has a procedure for deciding the guilt of an accussed. The talibans had no such mechanism. They killed who-ever they felt like and brutally. The dragged the former afghan president, stuffed his genitals into his mouth and hanged him for days(I have snaps of that, don't argue that this is a lie). This is not capital punishment!!
The Talibans use force to apply the shariat. Remember Quran itself says-'Let there be no compulsion in religion'.YOu cannot force people to follow the religion in this way.
I won't discuss more about religion and Islam here. But let me tell you just be logical and use your conscience.
Ofcourse that does not mean I support US strikes on Afghanistan. I condemn the Sept 11 attack as an attack of Terrorism by a group of fanatics, but I am also against the US strikes as the worst sufferers are the people of afghanistan who have already borne the brunt of the conflicts for decades and the Talibans.
Out of the whole thing, the worst sufferes are them(the commom people) and THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS(Even if some will say that they are).Nor one can pass this as saying that 'that happens in war'. Nothing can justify the sufferings of those people for whom misery has become way of life.
