2 weeks before, NDTV poll anticipated 210 for BJP and 300 for NDA.
that was a very massive pre-election poll carried out on almost 45000 votes from 200 Constituencies....
so i dont think things would change suddenly in 2 weeks...

NDTV poll had suggested that voters in karnataka would behave differently for assembly and national election. for assembly, they prefer congress...however, surprisingly, for national, they preer vajpayee and NDA. Pretty strange, but it could be true.
I am voting for BJP, cause i am very much against of a foriegn origin person being a PM of India. If Sonia is truely indian, why did not she learn Hindi for last almost 20-30 yrs(i am not sure how many)? Only when congress presidentship was offered to her, she started learning hindi...this is ridiculous...she cant even speak local language...and how a party like congrss can project her as a candidate for PM? I really don't understand?

She applied for Indian citizenship only after Rajiv became the PM.

I dont give it damm if he has a son or not! what i am concerned abt it is..when is this dynasty going to stop? Who has given the Gandhi family the rights to rule this country? just because Sonia is a wife of lt. Rajeev makes her eligible for becoming the president for the biggest national party...irrespective whether she has an experience or not? Moreover, even if she was bar waitress before coming to India? What sort of cultural, educational, political background she has? If i go to Italy and marry the president there...tomorrow he dies...would i be made the president of Italy???
Some times i really pity congress leaders...even after serving the party for the whole life, they have to worship the most non-experienced and lame leader like Sonia? I really wonder, what did they achieve in their entire life? If they cant even find one indian president for their party, they dont have any right to rule india...and shd be thrown out of power forever...

This might not be possible, since in Karnataka, there is no strong opposition party. Janata Dal is split into 'n' numbers, and BJP doesnt have good leaders.

In fact, Congress Govt has effectively suppressed the opposition parties in Karnataka.

May be BJP get a few seats more than what they got last time.

Cool.Now lets focus on election.
Election Commission of India has put all information.
Information on your beloved leaders
1)There are 6 national level parties.
2)56 State level parties.
3)702,registered unrecognised parties!!!
Now somebody needs to study this from political and mathematical point .for eample, how many permutation/combinations are possible taking party's agenda into consideration? For e.g.There can't be coalition between Communist Party and BJP!!.
Total seats in Lok Sabha(parliament)-----543
Number of candidates-------1968(including independants)

BJP's 'feel good' factor seems to be vanishing day by day after Sari Stampede where 21 women were killed in Lucknow.Primeminister and another local leader were trying to distribute Saris to poor women after their speech.Election commision has given a notice for violation of conduct and asked police to file a case agains BJP's leaders against bribery. What are the chances of BJP's winning.Few hours are left for first phase of election.

There is no big hope. Even if NDA comes to power. Probably they will become even more lazy and will not show any progress. We really lack a good national party who would work hard to make a big difference. We just have to select NDA/BJP cuz they are better than other parties but in no way is it a party which promises great future. There is no real enthu in voting for this election and this happens to be the first time i will be voting

hmmmm.. so Kanadigas/Tamilians/Gultis should not vote Vajpayee for he cant speak local laguage even after being in India for 79 yrs
Foreign origin is good question all together.. but its in wrong context.
It does not matter when she applied for citizenship or when she learned Hindi. Atleast she did.
Regarding foreign origin we need constitutional level changes, not Gandhi-family bashing.
FYI : If I vote then I vote to BJP.

People who support BJP do not vote. I cannot vote because I have to go to my home town where the elections are on 26th. Bangalore goes to poll tomorrow.
Opinion poll show that NDA is melting slowly. I hope that Sonia Ghandi does not become PM.

Now keep aside Sonia bashing!!Lets see who can predict correct outcome?
Number of states and Union territories going tomorrow for polls:17
Total number of seats: 142
Total contestants: 1115(this ofcourse includes independents!!)
Now your prediction starts:
Congress(I)(and regional parties alliance) ??
BJP(and regional parties alliance) ??
Janata Dal(all its infinitesimal nodes!!! includes BSP/SP etc)??
Lefists(CPI,CPI(M))??
Independents ??
[Those who are not familiar with Indian politics are also encouraged to try here!]

Okay, I will take a stab at this (I haven't been following the runup to election this time, as I am somewhere else, busy and err.. couldnt be bothered )
Lets take the total seats and give our best guess here, may be in percentage (as its easy), just for fun!
Congress(I)(and regional parties alliance) 21%
BJP(and regional parties alliance) 56%
Janata Dal(BSP/SP et all)?? 13%
Lefists(CPI,CPI(M))?? 8%
Independents ?? 2%

This is from a fwd mail. No hard feelings plsssss.
Tamils are always proud to be 'Tamizhs'; Pretty courteous they (that is what they think, at least!). They speak yenglish but sorry, no indi (Hindi), The more common Madarasi (chennaisi..., now?) is an ardent fan of kireeket matches - (do I know anybody who says likewise?)
Their counterparts in Bombay think they live in America but speak Hinglish like '...are you sure ki Sujata aa raha hai ya I'll go akela!"
'Thamizhs', are verrry lecky to haeve "simble" neighbours in the keralites who are a comblex race of peoblle (they migrated around 2000 B.C. from the middle east, I guess; and even now do the Sheik feels wary of them) but they have excellent GK and do well in kiss contests, eat a lot of chooclyte and own 99.998765% of tea shops in the world.
Not far begind the kerals is the telugu desam, who are totally againesht flaunting their wealthu to the woruldu, though they occasionally come out withu brick red shirtsu and parrot green pantsu with fleetsu ('pleat'). Worustu,no?! But they (think) are greatu in CICSu, Microsu and COBOLu! Generally sane peoplesu (and so you can always findu them judging, probhing, queschioning others...)
The Canadians, excuse me, the Kannadigas are the coolest lot down south but if there is political unrest in Hersogovnia or an ebola virus outbreak in Zaire, they bash up the Tamils in Karnataka. 'Cau very' very bad!
Maharashtrians are a conservative, confused, complex lot-kar. -Kar, that is because gavaskar, tendulkar, bahulkar..., confused that is because sitting in southern part of india they would ask the other person "are you from maharashtra or from south india...?" and genuinly wonder why the other person takes some time to answer the question, complex that is because soft peace loving people but they would elect shivsena to rule them.
If you go further uf, you land uf in Udissa- the land of irron ('r'unsilent) there sombalpuroa and Bhubaneshbara are big towns. The people are bery cordial and if you are Vikram they bill soorly ask you 'B' or 'Bhe'. They do not sout, sam or soot but occasnally bawsh their phace at the wasbashin. James Bond Mohanty in our colleze had a roll nomber jero, jero, sebhen.
Bengalees are bery similor, but are bery proud oph Subas Chondro Bosh and Shoatyojit Roy (I used to know a director by name Satyajit Ray who was also pretty good) and everybody is 'X'da. I used to havbe a friend by name Dada. Wonder... never mind. Bot I most confess, Roshgollas are bery goooood, tho!
Bihari kids are supposed to be the smartest kids in india (if not in the univese!). How we wish they grow up the same way, ... but... And Biharees are bery phond of Laloo and Ranchi, ka isse bhadiya tumre pass kooch hai, kaa?!
UPites and MPites are busy going to ischool and istudying metals to make lots of ishteel.
Punjabis are very sweet and aggressive and offer 'Rotti Shotti Khayega!' to which I once replied 'No'. He said 'Tage itu, yaar!' By God'u! 'Surjeetu, what happenedu, woi ?!'. That's P'njab.
And Kashmir (called 'Cashmir' by many, may be because of the amount of cash spent to keep it in India)?!? I know 'Roja (or Roza?)' was shot (I mean filmed) somewhere nearby...
But all these come together to maketh India.
