Loooking forward to some good cricket

Australians have a never say die attitude. They bounce back from any situation and win matches.

Did Tendulkar already score 18, 000 ODI runs? As per the information from this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sachin_Tendulkar), he is on 17, 955. Assured no one in the present cricket era is ever there to beat him. The next closest Ricky Ponting is short of 4000 Runs.

Well 53 is useful, but not massive. Still reckon this is going to be really close.

For the last four World cups, Australia were contenders in the finals and that has now come to an end. Byee byee Australia! Was somehow boring to see you winning everytime. But you deserve an outstanding applause.

South Africa's choking story continues

Kiwis stun SA to reach World Cup semis 6th times: Oram, Ryder help Kiwis book berth in World Cup semis 6th times

It was hard to believe that this was the same team of SA that had won five matches in the group stage and lost only five matches in last 24 ODI outings, This was South Africa's sixth loss in the knock-out stages of the World Cup since 1992.
In the 1992 edition Down Under, South Africa lost to England by 19 in the semifinals.

In the 1996 edition, held in the Indian sub-continent, they lost their quarterfinal by 19 runs against the West Indies.

In the next tournament in 1999, their semifinal against Australia ended as a tied match but since they had lost to Australia at group stage, they had to make way for them for the last-four stage.

They were very unlucky in 2003 as they were knocked out at group stage due to a defeat via Duckworth and Lewis method against Sri Lanka.

In the previous edition in the West Indies, the Proteas lost to eventual champions Australia in the semifinals by seven wickets.

And on Friday they were in a very good position to beat New Zealand but wickets fell in heap once their main batsman Jacques Kallis got out.

Don't worry, Pak never beat India in world cup.

My guess, it will be Ind vs SL finals.

Sunil gavaskar says Pak will win.

In this context, it would be pertinent to note what Sunil Gavaskar, himself a Mumbaikar, had to say on a talk show when he was asked whether Pakistan would lose the semi-final.

He said, "I doubt whether Pakistan would lose the Mohali game; Pakistanis have a special fascination for Mumbai. They keep sneaking into Mumbai by whatever route they can find and which is available. So I would not be surprised if they do it again and reach Mumbai again."

Better not to watch match and save time.

I like your last line.... I was planing to take a day off for the match but now I am not wasting one of my holiday... It is now more than a cricket ... They're selling 3,000 bugs tickets in 1,00,000... From both side politicians are coming to use it in their benefit....Media is hyping the match by creating new stories daily specially AAJ TAK(Saching is hammering his bat, Pak team is doing war kind of preparation etc etc)..... Now it is a game for politics, money, and more distance between the two countries ......

I tried this option for the last game against Aus, came to office after watching first few overs. But can't stop my brain/hand from going to cricinfo site and worrying about every ball. I would just take off and watch at least the crowd.

Adding some political color to the game is good for both countries, alteast the losing side can say 'we had successful peace talks with them'.

Can't wait for the game, pressure is at the highest peak.

Good luck India
