hello,
i'm new to oracle and want to learn it. could you give me some points on how to start? any suggestion is welcomed.
besides, as a java web-developer, which brand of database is most widely delt with?

I found that the following web site was especially useful for showing you how to deploy an .ear, (enterprise archive file), using Oracle Application server. It goes thru setting up the deployment descriptors for the beans and for modifying the correct configuration files for deploying an application. The address is:
