9iAS w/ SQL Server timeouts

Using 9iAS as my container, I have to connect to SQL Server for some data and have had problems maintaining a connection to SQL Server. Once the connection is broken, which apparently happens due to a broken pipe error, it becomes impossible to re-establish without a reboot.
Anybody run into anything similiar?
