Hi, I'm new to Oracle, can anyone please help me how to dump the data in newer version of Oracle so the data can be read from older version of Oracle (8.1.7 to 8.1.6)? Thanks

You could export the table and then import it. Just like if you wre trying to upgrade from an older version to a newer version.
