Anybody preparing for 1Z0-031 Oracle9i Database: Fundamentals I exam? Which book you are using? I'm using Oracle Education Study Guide.
Anybody passed the exam, how was your exam? How about your score? How you rate the exam easy, moderate or hard?
Any suggestions regarding preparation, taking exam is highly appreciated
Thanks,
Maria

What do you mean by Oracle Education Study Guide? Does this be the book that used during Oracle training courses? If so, you pick the right book, most questions can be found directly from the book, I think. And you should read the whole book carefully before taking the exam.

I passed the exam last year with 100%. I think this exam is quite easy. It just focus on the Oracle architecture. What you need to know are those background processes, what are their functions, and how they interact with the memory as well as the physical files. It was not as tricky as 1z0-032 and 1z0-033, and thus, you will not find it too difficult to pass.

Better have hand-on experiences on the lab exercises, this would help you understand what the materials are talking about.
Best luck for your exam.

Thanks Nick. 100% score - awesome

I took the exam yesterday and I passed. I was using Oracle Education Study Guide from Oracle training courses and Self-test question paper. The exam was easy I could say. For sure hands on experience will help a lot (which I dont have ). Any way Im planning to take 1Z0-032 next month

Thanks,
Maria

Congrad for passing 1z0-031!!!

You are OCA now!

For 1z0-032, personally, I feel it is quite difficult, especially the backup and recovery part. In the test, the most frequently asked questions were:
1. A series of backup/recovery command;
2. Open and closed backup
3. Case-based questions (the questions are quite long)

Try playing with those lab exercises at the end of each chapter, you will find the test being easier if you do more.

Anyway, best luck to you.

Nick
