Hi
We have:
Oracle 10g
Windows 2000
I have got access as system and sys through the web based Enterprise manager.
Oracle was installed on the windows box under the 'administrator' user id.
When I try and schedule a backup I using EM It asks for:
To perform a backup, supply operating system login credentials.
When I enter any of the following users:
administrator, system, sys
I get an error saying :
Connection to host as user administrator failed: ERROR: Wrong password for user
Any ideas how I get it to accept the administrator password or any other user?
Thanks for your help.

Regards

Ilja,
You need the user id and password for someone who has administrator access on your operating system. In all likelyhood, that is your Windows/Linux... logon id.

Hi
Thx for reply.
I have an administrator login and password, but this doesnt work.
Maybe this helps, but pc where Oracle is installed located in a domain.
I have a domain administrator login as well, tried everything , but hopeless.
I even assigned a policy "Logon as a batch job" for these users (read in some FAQ), still no luck... Either local admin and domain admin logins are not working..
Any ideas?

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
