Hi there, I have a question about jinitiator. Is it possible to run two appliations simultaniously on the Jinitiator JVM without the whole system crashing?

Thanks in advance...

PaulK,

Welcome to JavaRanch!

We ain't got many rules 'round these parts, but we do got one. Please change your display name to comply with The JavaRanch Naming Policy.

We request that display names follow the pattern FIRST_NAME + SPACE + LAST_NAME.

Thanks Pardner! Hope to see you 'round the Ranch!

Paul,
Welcome to JavaRanch and thanks for updating your display name. To be honest, I hadn't even read the question before because I won't answer a post until the name is valid.

Are you trying to run two Jinitiator JVMs in different windows or two applications in the same JVM? Could there be a memory problem?

Hmm, good question. I don't recall having any problems, but I also can't remember if we had two applications running at the same time, or we had them one at a time, where one couldn't run when the other was running. I do recall the pain in the butt JInitiator was with regards to closing the browser beneath the applet window, instead of exiting the application the correct way.

Good Luckl
