OCA certification

Hi,

I am new to this group. I don't whether this is the right place to ask this question. And I don't know where else to ask too.

Anyway... Can anybody tell me how much time one might need for the OCA exam, Introduction to Oracle 9i:SQL 1Z0-007 exam? I am a Java programmer who is familiar with Oracle.

This is EXACTLY the post I was about to put up myself.

I would like to hear from someone who has done SCJP or SCWCD and find out how the Oracle OCA exams compare to the Sun SCJP or SCWCD exams in a) difficulty b)volume of work c) time required to study.

Hi, I'm SCJP 1.4 and SCWCD certified. I did a couple of years ago the two exams for the Oracle OCA 9i (not one exam only for 10g).

a) difficulty

OCA 9i easier than SCJP + SCWCD.

b)volume of work

OCA 9i = 50% (SCJP + SCWCD)

c) time required to study.

2-4 weeks for the first exam, 6-8 weeks for the second one.
