Hello,
I am having a problem in uploading Tab delimited files when they contain null column values. (i.e) When there are 2 consecutive Tab's they are considered as one delimiter.
My Control File :
LOAD DATA
REPLACE INTO TABLE ipsadmin.boa_temp
FIELDS TERMINATED BY '\t' OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY '"'
TRAILING NULLCOLS
(
PORTCODE CHAR "UPPER( ORTCODE)",
TRAN_CODE CHAR,
TRAN_COMMENT CHAR,
SEC_TYPE CHAR
)

MY DATA FILE :
3PARDATA wd vfus

Here the 3rd column ( TRAN_COMMENT) is Null. sqlldr in this case loads 'vfus' into TRAN_COMMENT whereas actually 'vfus' should go into the 4th column SEC_TYPE and the 3rd column TRAN_COMMENT should be loaded with NULL.

Would appreciate any help on this.
