Although I manage to install and run Tomcat 4.0.1 in Win95/98 (JSP & Servlet samples runing perfectly well), I'm having problems running other JSP sample files. I'm currently trying to run Hans Bergsten's "JavaServer Pages" book samples which I have nested it in the Webapp directory. BTW, I could run all of the samples from the book without any problem in Win 2000 environment.
Here's one sample error page that I manage to get
Apache Tomcat/4.0.1 - HTTP Status 404 - /ch6/greeting.jsp
type: Status report
message: /ch6/greeting.jsp
description: The requested resource (/ch6/greeting.jsp) is not available.
For youre info, here's my Java/Tomcat configuration in the autoexect.bat file:
PATH=c:\windows;c:\windows\command;c:\;c:\jdk1.3.1_01\bin
PATH=%PATH%;C:\jdk1.3.1_01\bin\
SET CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;C:\jdk1.3.1_01\lib\tools.jar;C:\jdk1.3.1_01\lib\servlet.jar;C:\Apache-Tomcat-4.0.1\common\lib\servlet.jar
SET CLASSPATH=.;C:\jdk1.3\lib;C:\Apache-Tomcat-4.0.1\lib;
SET JAVA_HOME=C:\jdk1.3.1_01
SET CATALINA_HOME=C:\Apache-Tomcat-4.0.1
For the web.xml in the the WEB-INF directory
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC '-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.2//EN' 'http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-app_2.2.dtd'>
<web-app>
<servlet>
<servlet-name>jspSource</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>JSPSourceServlet</servlet-class>
</servlet>
<servlet>
<servlet-name>pbController</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>com.ora.jsp.servlets.PBDispatcherServlet</servlet-class>
</servlet>

<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>jspSource</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/jspSource/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>pbController</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/ch14/process</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
<session-config>
<session-timeout>30</session-timeout>
</session-config>
<welcome-file-list>
<welcome-file>index.html</welcome-file>
</welcome-file-list>
.
.
.
...I think this is sufficient.

Thank u in advance for any help.

My apologies,
Line at autoexec.bat file should read
SET CLASSPATH=.;C:\jdk1.3.1_01\lib;C:\Apache-Tomcat-4.0.1\lib;
